Active Bucks

The evaluation is being completed utilising a three tiered approach; National surveying, regional polling, and individual data collection. The approach involves data collection and management from the ukactive Research Institute, the LAF activity providers supported by MK Dons SET, and the Green Space activity providers.

The four main aims of the project are:

  • To increase the number of Buckinghamshire residents taking part in a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week.
  • To reduce the number of Buckinghamshire residents undertaking less than 30 minutes moderate intensity physical activity each week.
  • To provide a range of high-quality evidence-based and best practice physical activity provision meeting the needs of Buckinghamshire residents.
  • To engage the local community in the planning, delivery, and sustainability of the project.

As part of the evaluation, the ukactive Research Institute produces an Annual Report for Buckinghamshire County Council and will produce a Final Report on completion of the project in 2018.
